How much does a home visit cost?

Our all-in-one home visits operate on a sliding scale based on a combination of factors, including:
- household income
- property size & value
- number of members in household

We want emergency resilience to be accessible to all and charge between $1,000 - $5,000 per home visit.

However, if the lowest end of the range is still inaccessible to you, please reach out to shirah@resilientpeeps.com and we can discuss a price that works for you.

What's included in the home visit?

Our all-in-one assessment includes:

  • Pre-assessment consultation and planning
  • 4-6 hour on-site evaluation, where will will go over your unique home hazard mitigations
  • Help setting up inventory for insurance and some helpful do's and dont's for insurance policies
  • Digital home resilience hub setup
  • Essential safety documents and checklists
  • Family emergency plan development
  • Family friendly and customized emergency preparedness training
  • Six months of follow-up support
  • Annual maintenance reminders
  • Priority access to additional services

What's not included in the home visit?

- During the home visit, we will make recommendations on how to protect your home depending on your needs and budget, but we will not be doing the home hardening ourselves. For example, we may recommend to secure a piece of furniture, but we will not be doing the drilling. We may recommend clearing vegetation on your property, but we will not be clearing it ourselves (though we can advise on how to turn that into a fun family activity!)

- During the home visit, we will talk about the general do's and don'ts for insurance companies during a disaster and how to best prepare everything for insurance ahead of a disaster, but we will not be discussing specific insurance policies.

Do I need to purchase equipment before the assessment?

We'll provide a customized shopping list based on your needs and budget. We have affiliate links we can share, and all purchases can wait until after we've evaluated your specific needs and discussed your budget.

What happens during a home assessment?

We conduct a thorough room-by-room evaluation, covering everything from structural safety to emergency protocols. We'll set up your digital hub, train family members on essential skills, and create your custom emergency plan. The day also includes hands-on practice with emergency procedures and age-appropriate training for children.

Do we need to prepare beforehand?

We'll send you a detailed prep checklist after booking.

Generally, we just need:
- All family members present who can be
- Access to utility areas
- Basic home information
- Any existing emergency supplies
- Questions and concerns you'd like to address

Do you help with supplies and equipment?

Yes! We can:
- Recommend specific items for your needs
- Help organize existing supplies
- Assist with emergency kit assembly
- Guide you on maintenance and updates
- At an additional cost, discuss your desired supplies and purchase them for you
